‘Idol’ is now Top 11

Lacey Brown is the first contestant to leave Idol since the ‘big stage’. Paige Miles and Tim Urban, who joined her on the bottom three gets another chance next week. The sweet and eternally smiling Brown thanked the judges, and assured her fans that she will continue to sing and take on Country music as her niche. The judges didn’t use The Judges’ Save on Lacey, Simon Cowell stating it was unanimous. Her Tuesday night performance of Ruby Tuesday failed to bring good reviews from any of the judges – even the usually lenient Ellen DeGeneres- and apparently unable to get enough votes from home viewers.

On a footnote, David Cook opened the show with his version of The Rolling Stones’ Jumpin’ Jack Flash. He pretty much showed ’em how it’s done. And of course, balancing the scale is pop sensation Ke$ha who performed a rather poor impersonation of Lady Gaga with her hit Blah Blah Blah.
